Media Resilience Lab is a two-year program that strengthens independent investigative journalism in Eastern Partnership countries through funding, practical training, and mentored fellowships and internships, with applications now open.
Media Resilience Lab is a new two-year programme strengthening independent investigative journalism across Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, and other Eastern Partnership countries. It supports independent journalists through targeted funding for exile-based investigative media, helping teams collaborate and increase impact under pressure. The Lab also delivers practical training on data journalism, fact-checking, security, video reporting, and collaborative investigations, building skills and networks for long-term resilience. The project offers fellowships and internships with structured mentorship for media professionals across the region. Calls for Fellowship and Internship applications are now open.
Media workers from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Russia, other Eastern Partnership countries, and Germany, based in-country or in exile, who collaborate with displaced newsrooms or report across borders.

First application deadline: 1 June 2026. Projects must be implemented and published by the end of 2026.
Fellows and interns are invited to take part in online training in 2026 on storytelling, data journalism, investigative methods, and fact-checking. A Summer School in 2027 offers an in-depth programme on collaborative media work.
